        SERENITY HAVEN is our "home away from home" that we enjoy.  We would like for other people to be able to enjoy it also.  We will be more personal with our guests that stay with us.  We want to develop a FAMILY atmosphere.  We want to provide a NICE, CLEAN and QUIET place that families can come to the MOUNTAINS (Banner Elk) and enjoy their  time here.  We would like for 2 or more families to come  together to rent  Serenity Haven ---- bring grandpa and grandma along. It is 1 cabin with 2 levels.  Both the MAIN cabin and the LOWER can be rented together for larger family get-togethers, or reunions. (There ARE NO INSIDE STAIRS that connects MAIN and LOWER--The stairs are on the outside) The Main and Lower are two seperate units. You park in different places.  We want Serenity Haven to be  treated with respect so others will be able to have a nice, clean retreat in the Mountains.

SMOKING: Serenity Haven is a smoke free cabin. We do not allow smoking inside the cabin, though smokers are welcome to step outside and enjoy the view. (Containers are there for your butts-Do Not Throw Them On The Cabin Property)

PETS: We do not allow pets.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: You may check in after 3:00 P.M. on the day of your scheduled arrival or as soon as the cabin is ready. Check out time is 11:00 A.M. on the final day of your stay. If we do not have to clean that day, later check out is ok--just ask.

RATES FOR THE MAIN CABIN:  Regular (2 day minimum)--$175.00 per night for capacity.(8)--- $1000.00 weekly.  Ask about sleeping bags for children 8 and under above capacity.

HOLIDAY: (3 day minimum)--$200.00 per night for capacity. (Thanksgiving, Presidents' Day Weekend, Martin Luther King Weekend, Woolyworm Festival Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend, Grandfather Mountain Highland  Games)  If rented for the week, the regular $1000.00 weekly price applies.

RATES FOR THE LOWER LEVEL:  Regular (2 day minimum)--$135.00 per night for capacity.(8) $700.00 weekly.  Ask about sleeping bags for children 8 and under above capacity.

HOLIDAY: (3 day minimum)--$150.00 per night for capacity. (Thanksgiving, Presidents' Day Weekend, Martin Luther King Weekend, Woolyworm Festival Weekend, July  4th weekend, Grandfather Mountain Highland Games)  If rented for the week, the regular $700.00 weekly price applies.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations can be made by telephone or E-mail. There is a 2
night minimum stay. Personal checks, certified checks or money orders should reach us within 7 days of you telling us you want to  reserve. One half (excluding tax) should be sent. Payment of remainder can be paid by personal check (if received within 3 weeks of arrival), cash or certified check. Reservations made less than one week of arrival can be made by credit card, and paid by cash upon check-in.  There is a $60.00 linen/clean-up fee for the Main Cabin and  $35.00 for the Lower Level that is NOT refundable.

TELEPHONE: There is a telephone for local calls. Calling cards must be used for
toll calls. Cell phones usually have service at the cabin.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: There is a $100 security deposit for each unit. This will cover, violations of the smoking and pet policy, damage to the cabin, or theft. The full amount of damage or repair is the responsibility of the renter. This security deposit is refundable within 30 days of stay, if cabin is ok.

BANNER ELK can and does have snow in the winter months(click on CONTACT US to see the picture). Because of this nice amenity, it is encouraged that you have 4 wheel drive or tire chains when you rent in mid-December, January, February, and possibly early March (you can buy them and have them installed around town). You go to the beach for the sun, and water. You would not go to the beach (I hope) without sunscrean. You come to the mountains for snow and sking. Snow and Ice can be slick and dangerous! We do NOT have snow all the time. Be aware that you might have to walk a short distance to the cabin if it snows. Oh, but think how nice it is to get there and warm up, set in the hot tub and see what's happening in the valley below!
